How bad will a bad freshman year in one class

hurt my chances at some colleges. I had a tough teacher for my language my freshman year and got a B- for the year. Then my sophomore year I boosted my language grade up to an A-. If I can get a good grade, will colleges (like Wake Forest, BC, Michigan, and Villanova) place less emphasis on my freshman year (mostly just my language). The school I attend is a respected prep school that is about 90 minutes away from my house, so the toughness of the classes and commute hurt my grades a bit (and a lot of other students). Freshman year I had a 3.5ish and for my sophomore year I had slightly over a 4.0. Will colleges place little emphasis on my Freshman year language grade if I continue to bring it up?

Thanks

Colleges like upward trends. I wouldn’t worry about it.

okay, thanks.

anyone else have an opinion

You’re fine; there’s nothing you can do about it now. Just keep improving!

thanks (10 char)
