How boring would Hanover be for a city kid?

I'm from a big city. However, I'm pretty introverted and I like quiet life as well. I'm just worried that I'd get bored at Dartmouth due to it simply being too small and in the middle of nowhere. Many of you have had to deal with this (though maybe you like this about it) - how was it for you?

Also, how closely-knit is Hanover?

Loads of kids at Dartmouth are from cities. I’d venture to say most grew up in urban or suburban environments. If you are going to Dartmouth (my guess is you’re a prospective applicant), you will be surprised by just how abuzz the campus is. It’s a small school in a fairly isolated town, yes, but that doesn’t mean it’s tiny. There are about 6,000 students, add faculty in, and you have a pretty busy place that doesn’t get boring.

“Downtown” Hanover consists of about a block and a half.

Oof. The suburbs around here have bigger downtowns than that.
