How can I demonstrate an interest in law/politics?

What are some extracurriculars that I could partake in to show interest in studying law and current events?

You could volunteer for a campaign, attend and report on local township meetings, do advocacy work on legislation by organizing outreach to politicians, or join JSA or MUN,

With the 2020 elections coming up, it might be a good idea to participate in a campaign. Also, within school, try writing for your school political review if there is one, or you can write columns about current events in your school news.

Debate, Student Council, Mock Trial & Model UN are great places to start. Joining a political campaign is a good idea as long as it doesn’t interfere with your course load (especially if you’re a freshman and need that first semester to acclimate to your new environment.)
