How can I eliminate the final 2 choices ? :$

so in the sat all the guides say try to eliminate the choices ,and narrow them.Well I'm facing this complication ; I ALWAYS eliminate them, but I end up having 2 choices ,and choosing the wrong one !
for example in sentence completion or the reading comprehension,I may narrow the choices to A and D
I go like ok it is either A or D ( I can't eliminate any of them) so I go like D ,then the correct answer would be A
happened many times and it annoys me so much!

What is your thought process for passage based questions? For sentence completions you’re just going to have become more familiar with the vocabulary for the most part.

Some people are bad guessers. If you know from experience that you always choose the wrong answer, if it’s the SAT, you’re better off omitting. ACT doesn’t matter (no guessing penalty).
