How can i get more involved ? (ECs)

As of now im in the following activities, as a freshman in high school.

Sci Oly (tentative leadership role Junior+Senior Year)
Math Team (I'm a state level individual competitor)
WYSE (World Wide Youths for Science and Engineering)

*I don't join these clubs just to put them on my app, i work hard, normally 5 hours a week on Sci Oly alone, and i get results at competitions (not that that's the only thing that matters).

Varsity Tennis

*I will be doing these 4 activities all four years

Starting this summer, im gonna work at a Kumon Tutoring Center
Also, i hope to start volunteering at a local crisis nursery

Next semester, as a sophomore, i might do swimming...

During this summer, and the summer after sophomore year, i will be taking classes at a local community college, not really an EC, just shows im not wasting time...not that any Ivy/Top20 hopefuls would waste time.

During my Junior year and the summer after, i will be participating in internships related to the National Cancer Institute and a UIUC internship known as Nanochallenge.

I'm sorry about the wall of text, now i was just wondering, are my ECs deep? I realize that a lot of people have ECs like "i went to Carnegie Hall to give a solo Opera Performance" and "i went to Haiti over Spring Break to raise money for the relief effort"....i'm just not as privileged to participate in these wonderful activities...

How can i broaden my Spectrum of ECs outside of school? I have an immense interest in robotics, physics, and math in general...i also love helping people through physically demanding labor...are there any good University summer programs u guys know of that aren't insanely expensive?

Try applying for one of the really competitive research projects/internships in your junior year. Until then, try to get involved in science fairs. Try to write to professors/companies directly. Often, that will get you an internship if all else fails.
