I'm only a Freshman in high school but I really, really want to go to a college like NYU in the future. I live in rural Maine and desperately want to get out.
So far this year I have all A's and am in 1 honor class.
I'm in the environmental club, the poetry club, and the spanish club
I'm on the varsity swim team
I'm a passionate semi-pro photographer and I make my own techno music using software

What else do I have to do to stand out and get into NYU?
Thank you

In general, to get admitted to one or more of the fine selective colleges, take the most advanced classes your school offers, get the highest grades in them you can, and be a leader (not a participant) in your chosen ECs (and choose those you love). Your test scores will make a difference, but those mostly fall where they fall, though some can through practice improve their ability to take such tests.

But then realize that you might not have exactly what a particular college is looking for, but there will be others who appreciate what you bring to them. :)
