How can you tell if you got into a dual-degree program?

I applied for LSM, and was lucky enough to be admitted. However, my letter says that I was admitted to the Wharton School.. no mention of LSM. Does this mean I didn't get into LSM but got into simply Wharton?

yes. but seriously... wharton!! dont worry about lsm, huntsman didnt want me either.

It means you got into Wharton

congrats!

LSM? wow...I feel completely outside the loop here lol...in any case, congrats

wait but theres no letter at all telling about whether i got into huntsman or not... what does that mean? i automatically got rejected? weird....

yea i got into wharton... how many do they take a year?

Sorry bud, but if they don't mention the program, you didn't get into the program.

august's_chopin - you weren't automatically rejected. You were considered for the program and then considered for either the College or Wharton depending on which you selected in the application (in your case, Wharton). They won't mention the program to you now, and I think it's because they'd rather just send you the happier news right now.

haha i guess that makes sense.. thanks

Students accepted into a dual-degree program get two acceptance letter:
One by the Dean of Admissions and one by the director of the program.

Congrats on Penn!!

Ditto here. No word about Jerome Fisher, but accepted to College of Engineering. I'm glad they didn't give the 'bad' news in the on-line decision letter. It was great to see the 'congrats' without any clouds over it. Very pleased. Go Quakers.

Same here as iHojs2 - online didn't say anything about Jerome Fisher, only said accepted to Col. of Engr. Does it mean the paper letter will mention Jerome Fisher?

Oh, yay. Apparently, Jerome Fisher tells you when you check your profile for regular admittance if you got in.

This makes my decision incredibly difficult... wasn't actually expecting to get in.

How do you get to your profile? I didn't see any link when I logged into the decision online..

yup same question here.
where's this profile for regular admittance??
help please :) lol.

i don't know what you people mean with profile? it says in the TITLE of the acceptance letter "congrats on upenn and huntsman" (or whatever dual degree you applied for)... AND, on the right there you have a link for the Huntsman acceptance letter and also for the school(s) that you got into. seriously, if you got in, you'll know at first sight.

@iHojs2, meanbean - I called UPenn about Jerome Fisher dual program and they said if your online decision only says Col. of Engr. you are admitted only to Col. of Engr. and not to the dual program.

Thanks for the verification, rr43. That's what I figured.
