I’m aware that the VCU housing application opens on April 3rd at 4 pm and they assign housing on a first-come, first-served basis. Can anyone speak for how competitive the really nice dorms are? In other words, am I able to apply for housing a week after and have good chances of having my preferences honored? Gladding Residence Center is also opening this year so that may affect how competitive it is this year?
