How competitive is gaining admission to Hass?

I might apply for UC - Berkeley Business administration undeclared (I think that's the name of the choice on the application).

I just want to know how competitive is that? I am an international with 2140 on my SAT and currently top 10% (don't know where exactly in top 10%) with 4.00 in GPA.

It's "Haas," not "Hass."

You are not admitted directly to Haas. You apply undeclared, and once at Berkeley (granted that you get in), you apply to it at the end of your sophomore year. About 60% are accepted, I think.

You apply to Haas typically in your sophomore year with application due at the end of November and decisions coming out in March. A little less than 60% of applicants were admitted into Haas last year. However, the caveat, and a huge caveat at that, is that most people that attend to apply to Haas never do so for a litany of reasons. The main one is that they bombed the prerequisite classes such as UGBA 10, Econ 1, Math 1A/16A, and etc. Therefore, since their GPA is so low, they won't bother applying since they are basically auto-rejects.

Please be reminded that Berkeley has been terribly mean to those International Students. Your 2140 SAT scores would not probably make you get in. Your GPA was, however very good. Just apply but do not hope too much.
