Hey all,

I am thinking of applying to UBC , University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo for chemical engineering grad school. Any ideas on how competitive they might be in terms of GPA, research requirements etc? I got to the University of Minnesota which is a top 3 program in chemical engineering. What kind of GPA do you think I would need from here?

Thanks in advance!

Don’t know about the grad schools - what year are you at UMinn? How have you found it so far?

Very competitive since there’s not many universities in Canada and these 2 are the top ones so generally they require very high GPA. But personally I don’t recommend going to Canada because US schools are way better.

The U’s chemical engineering program will work you to the ground. They even fail 50 people second semester of their junior year. I would not recommend it. Its a pressure cooker.
