How detailed should the responses to the ApplyTexas scholarship questions be?

In order to clear up any ambiguity, I am referring to the questions asked on page 4 on the scholarship portion of the ApplyTexas UT Austin application.

Anyway, a few of the questions seem like they can be answered in no more than fifty words. Would this turn off a scholarship committee who likely expects a more detailed and lengthy response?

I believe The President’s Achievement Scholarship is both need and merit based, and FAFSA and grades/test scores don’t require lengthy explanations.

If you apply for other scholarships you’ll need to write additional essays. I guess it can be considered “a more detailed and lengthy response”.
