to all of those out there who are applying/will apply to law school, how did you know you wanted to be a lawyer? what about it appealed to you?

My interest in law started when I was in 7-8th grade when I started watching Judge Judy, The People's Court and COPs. I just naturally like watching the shows. Then freshman year in high school I had Civics class, and that made me say to myself I want to be a lawyer. I'll be a senior in high school now and as my knowledge increases I see that there's a lot to a lawyer's job then what goes on in Judge Judy. Yes law seems appealing to me now and I'm interested in it. But "about half of all lawyers work 50 or more hours a week" (from us bureu labor of statistics).

What good is all that money if you're never around to enjoy it? A lawyer's job can be very stressful. Yet it can also be the most exciting. I can't decide between this and pharmacy. Pharmacy allows a 40 hour week and excellent pay and job prospects. I always loved math. Yet my SAT reading score was a lot higher then my math score. I seem to do better reading. I like reading. I like math.

You can never know for sure unless you have done the job for many years. Do I have the stamina to be a lawyer? Or mabye the question is won't being a pharmacist be just as hard or mabye boring even with so deep math and science?

I have not made up my mind.
