Should I still try to go for law..

I'm still in high school, however, I'm confused on what I want to be. People say I have time, but I don't want to be confused.

I want to be a lawyer, always wanted to be a lawyer.

But then I saw an article saying there are more Lawyers than there are jobs..then it hit me..

Would going into Law School be a bad choice?

I mean...I'm not going any time soon but....possibly...would this whole recession thing be over by then...maybe 5 10 years from now?

Right? I don't want to be in debt you know. Not for some career thats not taking me anywhere..

Also, can you be a lawyer and investment banker too?

Go to college, if you excel and have a good GPA, study for the LSAT. It’s waaaay too early to decide that now. There are some law schools worth attending and plenty that are not. You have no way of knowing if you will be accepted to a law school worth attending at this point in time.

As for “always wanting to be a lawyer,” you probably have a warped sense of what a lawyer does. I encourage you to research that. It’s not like in the movies. I’m not saying its necessarily bad, but many lawyers rarely, if ever, see a courtroom.

Nope. I know its nothing like the movies. My mom’s friend is a lawyer and she takes me with her all the time to court houses and such…but shes a boring type of lawyer…there’s not real defending going on…nor paperworl. I mean she was literally in there for 5 minutes and then we left to the next case in the court across town… I want to be a corporate lawyer and defend the BIG BOYS=) lol.

I know its early…but I just want to think about it…thats all…never be too early to think about your career=).
