How did you prep for your SAT II chemistry test?

Hey guys, how did you prepare for the test? (Read test prep books, take tests, read over certain unfamiliar concepts, etc.) Please be specific! Also, if you can state what score you got on the test that would also be helpful :) Thanks. (Fyi my test is in December this year.)

I believe I began a little more than a month before the test. I had already taken basic chem, (couldn’t do honors because of schedule), so I had to cover a lot of topics that were never taught in class. Basically, I went through the entire Barron’s book, took notes in outline form, and did a bunch of practice tests (Barron’s, Sparknotes, Princeton Review<<from a friend). I found that if I didn’t understand a particular topic, researching it online or using another source helped, as all I really needed was the concept to be explained in a different way.

Anyway, I got a 760, and I’m pretty happy with that.

I took AP chem and just reviewed the notes and stuff that I used to study for the AP exam. I got a 750 and am satisfied with that.

I got an 800. I did the Princeton review sat II book and 5 of the practice tests the week before the test. I took IB Chem 2. The test WAS easier than the tests in the practice book however.

Went through all of Barron’s SAT 2 book after reading PR’s AP book.

so princeton’s SAT II books are gud .isn’t it??

Princeton Review is good for reviewing material but their practice tests aren’t accurate. The Sparknotes practice tests are good.

I read through PR twice in March/April, took a practice test from Sparknotes/PR a week in May, took it in June and got a 760. PR is very helpful.

Math II - 0 prep whatsoever (800)
Chemistry - 1 hour with Barrons on the train ride to my test center (780)
Physics - 4-5 hours + 1 practice test all in Barrons (790)
Biology - 10-12 hours + post-AP + 2-3 practice tests in Barrons (770)

Will only going through Kaplan’s SAT Chemistry be sufficient?
