i think black women should be more understanding toward the certain habits that asian men have such as collecting flowers and hugging little girls. black women would have an easier time coupling with asian men if they could accept pologamy and totalitarianism.

I don't care. I'm open minded. If someone had a problem with it, that'd be tough for them. That is unless they have a legitimate reason that is not as superficial as race (such as the person is a gold digger or using me, etc.).

Scareya, my great great grandparents were slaves!! I don't know what African country their ancestors came from.

But trust me, I AM BLACK!!! You're not the first person (who is obviously not black) to look at me and decide that because I have light skin and almond-shaped eyes, I'm not black.

Anyway, I am a black female (specifically Nigerian), and I find some Asian guys attractive, and have "dated" a couple in the past. I am open to any race really, as a good guy is a good guy no matter the ethnicity.

I'm a black female and I've found certain Asian males attractive--I've found a lot of males attractive!
It is difficult to narrow down attractiveness to one specific race...if you're cute, you're cute--regardless of your race. Throw in a fantastic personality and a keen intellect, and I think you've got a date. ;)

Maybe because most of them did? Except for the occasional white man that came and raped one of them...

Jason was referencing Scareya's question about what country in Africa my family comes from. His point was not that most black people don't come from Africa, but that most black people in America do not know from what country in Africa their ancestors hail.

And, just as a general side note, the rape of black women by white men was in no way occasional.

Back to the original topic, a lot black girls view Asian guys the same way they view all guys. Race isn't that big of a deal.

Here's a recent CNN article about an increasing no. of African-American women considering "dating out" (again, the focus is on whites) - a bit behind the times since this was starting to happen a few yrs ago.

Erm... no offense, but you probably wouldn't know anything about that. African Americans are usually very very disconnected from their African roots and culture. No disrespect to you, but that's usually the way it is.

My African ancestors are in Brazil, where they are still very connected to their culture and roots, and it was a lot more common than you think.

However, African genes are dominant, so the white genes are not easily seen.

Okay, so I'm a little confused by your comment... You are the one who said that the rape was "occasional," so I don't understand why it is a lot more common than I think. Secondly, while I may not claim Africa as my home, I still know a decent amount about African history, so yeah, I would know about that. Finally, my statement was in reference to black female slaves in this country, who were constantly raped by their masters.

Somewhere one of us (or maybe both) got their wires crossed. When I read your first post, I didn't understand what your point was and I still don't understand your point now. Maybe I'm just confused. Could you maybe clarify what you are trying to say?
