Disclaimer: This thread is about sending score reports. I have no intention of hiding any of my score reports as I only took the SAT twice and did fairly well both times.

Well, title says all. How do colleges enforce score choice? When a college that you're applying to asks for all of your SAT scores, how do they know that you actually sent all of them? Is there actually a method for schools to enforce them or is it primarily honor code? Personal experiences would be most helpful.

They don’t. Collegeboard has a privacy policy that allows colleges to see only the scores YOU send them. However, some scores appear on students’ transcripts. Also colleges can figure out if you are hiding scores i.e if you send only one score and that SAT was taken October of your senior year. That’s pretty suspicious.

But that’s probably rare and it’s really just an honor code.

Apparantly, rumor has it, that colleges can see your essay (even on times you didn’t send the score, therefore allowing them to figure out how many times you took it through some wierd collegeboard site. (Not sure though).

ACT is pretty safe, though)
