How do colleges know the courses your school offers?

My school only offers honors classes in science, math, and english. How do colleges know that I am taking the maximum number of honors classes offered?

It on your transcript probably. The school also sends information about it courses and might have it on there websites so colleges can research (or so I been told). And colleges don’t care if there is a limited number of honors classes just that you do well in them and if you take a good amount.

Many high schools have a profile which they send to colleges. In the profile they would show average test scores, courses offered (distribution of grades), percentage of students going to college, and which colleges students are accepted to and attending.

There is also your GC’s recommendation letter, on it they would check off if you have taken the most rigorous courses offered at you HS, and where you rank on your GPA, ECs…(top 1%, 5%…)

Thanks for the responses
