How do colleges view Vocational Schools?

This is what I'm considering on taking senior year:
English IV Honors
PE/ Health IV
AP Biology
Health Occupations- Vocational School

I'm interested in going into the health field. I'm thinking about Vo- Tech because the program is free to seniors and provides hands on experience in that field and can give me certification to get a job in that field right after I graduate if I really want too.
If I'm in the program, I can only take four classes as a senior, English and Gym are required and AP Bio is a full year course. Despite the fact that I only have a few regular classes and I'll have to take the bus between schools, I see it as a good opportunity.
However, for some reason other people don't see it as positively. They look down upon an honors student thinking about going to a vocational/ technical school for senior experience. They think it will lead to a low paying job, but that's not necessarily true since there are still many good programs there. I'm using my resources to find a paying occupation as soon as I can, what's wrong with that?
What will colleges think about this? I know they wouldn't really care since it's my decision, but since it's so out of the norm I don't know what to expect.
And yes it's possible to balance being both a medical assistant and a college student at the same time.
