I had created and sent fafsa to 6 colleges on 2/1, now I need to send a fafsa to another college, due today.

when I went into fafsa today, it actually said that our 2/1 fafsa was still awaiting signatures (OOPS!), and so I quickly figured out how to re-establish my pin and I used the pin for my son that was finally sent. The msg said , wait three days to process this (the 2/1 fafsa for teh set of 6) w/ no other functions available to me for this 2/7 school.

the online help person i have to wait 3 days to add the school. the answer is, no, you cannot add a school now . there apparently is not a reverse or undo function.

i hope i misunderstood the help person.

when people criticize the fafsa for being too difficult, it is normally related to the questions asked on the form. But another aspect of the criticism is its unclear procedures, methods, and functions that are set up for specific kinds of conditions and if you vary from those conditions, it is as dumb as a brick.

all in all, another brick in the wall.

fyi- I called the phone help person and I recvd the help I needed. tho the student’s fafsa waw indeed locked out, the phone person had supernatural powers to go in and add the school. praise fafsa!

(actually , the school she said she added did not appear on the confirmation page - just the old 2/1 schools appeared there - since, she said, that it takes 3-5 days to process). so I have no proof other than supernatural sally from fafsa online help saying that school X is there.

It is curious that the schools would not appear in the confirmation pg since the 2/1 schools appeared when I submitted them on 2/1 (that, is, they did not need the 3-5 days to process). Maybe it was because they are the first transaction and this is an amendment? I dunno.

tip: call 'em
