Hey all, I'm new here so I am not sure if this is in the wrong section. Apologies if it is.

I have a few serious questions and I was wondering if the CC community could help me out.

I graduated high school in June, class of 2011. There was one school I really wanted to go to, but anxiety made it difficult for me to get recommendations, so I just held off on applying. I ended up enrolling in another school(Clemson University). I was there less than a month before I left. I hated it more than anything I have ever hated before in my life. I had no desire to go there in the first place, but I had no other options. Luckily I was able to get a medical withdrawal, so there are no W's on my transcript.

I am now in the process of applying to the college I have always wanted to go to(Loyola Marymount). I'm not sure if I apply as an incoming freshman or as a transfer? I wouldnt think I would be a transfer since I didn't actually have any credits that would transfer. But I read in another thread that if you have taken any class at a college, that you are now a transfer. This is my dream school with my dream major, and I do not want to mess this up. Any help would be wonderful.

Now, I have a second question. The colleges I applied to last year did not require recommendations, so I did not get a single recommendation. I alluded to this earlier, but the whole reason I didn't apply to Loyola Marymount in the first place was because my severe anxiety made it impossible for me to go and ask my guidance counselor or any teacher. Loyola Marymount requires that you get at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. This is frightening to me because I am not sure how to go about this process. I am not a student anymore, so it will be weird walking into a place where I don't belong and asking somebody who doesn't have to write me anything since I am not a student. I have no idea how I am supposed to do this and I feel really scared. Should I set up an appointment, or should I just walk back into my former school? I'm trembling just writing this.

Now my final question is a simple one. Can anybody familiar with Loyola Marymount chance me? I dont think I have a good shot at admittance, but I am going to try anyway.

My stats are really bad. They are:
3.2 UW GPA, 3.8 W GPA,
1240/1790 SAT.
Only a couple ECs
A recommendation hopefully from my high school guidance counselor and another from my pastor.
And my intended major is screenwriting and I am applying EA.

I just feel like these are not good enough statistics to get accepted to a great school like Loyola Marymount. Any insight is appreciated. I'm looking for any feedback. I appreciate all the help in advance. Thank you. :)
