How do I apply to Rutger's premed

I am going to be a senior in highschool this fall and I am really confused about applying to the seven-year med programs and the pre med programs at certain colleges. If I want to apply to Rutger's pre med, do I just apply through the common app or do I have to fill out a supplemental? On the common app, do I mark what I want to major in or is that something you do after you get into the college? Also, I want to know my chances of getting into the Rutger's pre med program. These are my stats:

Weighted GPA: 4.3750
Unweighted: 3.9375
Sat score: 2030 math:720 reading:620 writing:690
Sat subjects: math 2: 650 Biology:700
EC: varsity tennis, officer positions in red cross club, Future Business Leaders of America, Furutre Medical Leaders of America, volunteer at a hospital and volunteer tutor for needy children, Taekwondo black belt
AP Classes I have taken: AP Biology, AB and BC Calc, AP Micro and Macro economics, AP World History, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this thread and to answer my questions =)

4.3 weighted? What’s that out of? I had like a 3.9 unweighted and a 5.3 weighted on the 5 scale.

Your stats are very good; I doubt you’d have a hard time getting into any major at RU; I’m not so sure about the pre-med program; or how you go for that. I don’t think it’s a specific major, though I’m probably wrong.

I mean no disrespect to RU, but with stats like those, you should consider looking around, as well.

Pre-med isnt a major or program its just the curriculum a potential med school students wants to take.

The closest Rutgers has to to a 7-yr program is the joint program with umdnj called the BA/MD program in which u applied for it during ur spring sophomore semester and the min GPA requirement is a 3.5.

If u dont want to go that route and still want to “pre-med” you just have to sign urself up with HPO (Health Professions Office ) when u get there and choose any science major. Theoretically any major can do “pre-med” as one as they filled the pre-reqs already such as bio, chem, orgo, calc, expos, and such…
