Hii, so I've done like no SAT prep, and I am a sophomore (15) but my parents made me take the free practice SAT that was on the college board website. I got a 1930 which I'm okay with since I'm only a sophomore, and had no prior preparation. By the time I'm applying to colleges I want to be around 2250, maybe even more! What do you guys recommend, and how early should someone start prepping?

I need to know this too. Help!

Did you take the PSAT? It would have identified areas of weakness and you could work on them.

Practice tests. In one month I took about 30 math, 15 writing, and 20 critical reading tests. I ameliorated from CR:50, Math:66, and Writing:67 to CR:65, Math:80, and Writing:74.

A little secret on the writing portion of the SAT: writing has the least amount of questions that the college board can try to trick you on. If you study those tricks just by doing practice writing sections, you can easily raise your score 100+ points. M and CR take a little bit longer to improve on, but they can get better with studying (or even just with different test dates).

okay s I know I’m not the OP, but how do you get a high score when you read a passage that you have no clue. I got the lowest reading score today (600…) in the past 2 weeks and it’s because of a double passage where I got 5 wrong. How can you pick an answer when none of them seems RIGHT?

I took the PSAT for the first time this year, so I can’t use it until december
i do know that cr is my best section (i know weird) and im pretty much the same when it comes to math and writing. a little weak in math, but thats easy to improve i guess. any specific books?
