I know there is a tutorial but it's so boring and that girl's voice is so annoying! i tried watching it twice but i just couldn't finish it. Is it pretty simple? Is it common sense like you start with a certain category and the narrow it down from there? How long does the whole process take?

I know the tutorial is boring… but it’s SO hard to explain unless you have someone sitting next you instructing you how to use WebReg. The tutorial really does help the most.

Each class has a number to the lefthand side of its listing on the schedule of classes, just write those down and enter it into the box on WebReg. Sorry, this description is bad. Watch the tutorial. haha.

If you know what you’re doing, (aka if you’ve watched the tutorial) the process will take less than a minute or two after the beginning of your registration time.

is there a link to the tutorial youre talkin bout?

[UCSD Web Registration Tutorial](UCSD Web Registration Tutorial)

I think that’s it… the girl’s voice is DAMN annoying hahaha

I remember someone wrote a tutorial on here for how to use webreg awhile back if you can’t figure it out. You’ll need to search for it.

thanks for the link

but damn that girl needs to be slapped !

In the video, the girl mentioned the option of taking a class for a grade or a pass/no pass option.

Should I take most of my classes for a grade or leave 1/4th of them for pass/no pass? Also, what determines if you pass or fail a class?

^Take as many as possible for a grade. The ones I take pass/no pass are stupid GEs that I am being forced to take.

Basically - if you go to class, do your work and get a C- or better on assignments, you pass the class. Quite easy.

Log onto WebReg (left side menu on Tritonlink, hopefully you’re somewhat familiar with the site by now.)

Type in the class name (i.e. “CHEM 6A”) into the box at the bottom of the registration page, and up pops all the classes. Click on one of them (the one you want) and register. Pick letter grade or P/NP. If you’re waitlisted, you can pick another section or waitlist for the one you picked.

Repeat for the other classes.

Check weekly class schedule to make sure you dont have any conflicts.

It’s pretty self-explanatory…if you run into any problems, the system will tell you in red on the registration page (i.e. “You don’t meet the prereqs”) and you’ll have to fix those.
