How Do I Fill Out PDFs On My Computer?

Acrobat Approval is discontinued software - it was discontinued Sept. 2004 and is no longer supported by Acrobat, and is not compatible with later versions of Acrobat.

The reasons I posted the links to CutePDF above is that it is (a) FREE, try-before-you-buy software, in a form that is probably adequate to meet the needs of anyone who only has a few forms to fill out, (b) cheap for anyone who wants the fully functional copy, and (c) legal.

Darnit! Oh, well. I used it for grant proposals.

The tool I have been using is On-line PDF form Filler, Editor, Type on PDF ; Fill, Print, Email, Fax and Export . It's not free, but allows fill in non fillable forms, email, fax and sign it. You can save a copy on your account also. It helped me a lot when I applied to college 2 years ago. Good luck :)

If you have Word, you can set the forms as watermarks on a Word document, then type in Word.

This is what we did and it worked fine. It's easiest stick with the same computer and the same printer when you go back in to edit or print.

My son used the watermark on Word documents technique also. It worked well. Our printer has a scanner feature so he also scanned paper scholarship apps, and then was able to set the form as a picture watermark. If you use this method, be sure to uncheck the "Washout" box when entering the watermark info.

DS is sleeping now, but I believe he told me that there's a free google program that allows one to fill-in pdfs. I'll check when he's awake later in the day (about 8 hours from now).

You can open the PDF in Photoshop, use the text tool to type on the forms, then save it as a PDF.

A little cumbersome, but it works.
