How do I improve my reading comprehension for standerdized tests?

Basically standardized tests are reading comprehension in my opinion (except for math). I asked a lot of teachers how I should improve my reading comprehension and all they said is Read, read, read. I basically read 20 hours a week during a good week and I actively read the news like Time and New York Times. I read a diverse amount of literature. I take notes and I do speed reading techniques. But I plateaued at a super-lowe reading speed.

When I leisurely read a book it's around 200 wpm, but when I want to read fast a 350 wpm. But my reading comprehension ranges usually from 65%-85%, not 99%. The reason why I'm so concerned about this is because I get a C's on tests that I study hard and smart for-I know the material, but how the questions are worded change the whole platform. Basically the test is something completely new.

I'm done with the SAT and ACT, since I plateaued at super low 23. I'm the exception and most people improve at go from 23 to 28. Not me! The reason why is I didn't take reading seriously before the age of 12, and now my reading comprehension is super mediocre.

My goal is to go from 350 wpm at 65% reading comprehension to 750-850 wpm at 75%-85%. I want to do this to get an almost perfect score for the GMAT and CPA exam for accounting. I know I'm going to struggle in accounting since my reading comprehension is super mediocre. How can I improve my reading comprehension?
