<p>Last Friday I applied to Dartmouth via Common App, but I have yet to receive any confirmation confirming that they've received my application. On the common app website it says I've submitted my application. Should I send the admissions office an email? How do you know a college has received your application?</p>
<p>It can take over a week to hear back from many colleges. You used to be able to tell if the school had downloaded your application on the Common App, don’t know if that feature is still there. If you haven’t heard back by next Monday, drop admissions an email to check. Oh, and be sure you keep a close eye on whatever email address you are giving them in your applications. Colleges will send links to portals, deadline info for forms/financial aid info, etc. to that address. </p>
