How do I let Bard know it's my first choice school?

I visited Bard, but I had my interview before my tour, so I didn’t know how much I liked the school. Now I know that Bard is my first choice, how do I make this clear in my application?

First, write a letter to the person who interviewed you saying exactly this … Also, you may be able to ask your guidance counselor call the admissions office with this message. Bard indicates that being “first choice” and understanding why the student and the school are a good fit are two important factors, so you are on the right track in wanting to make this known. Also, you can still apply early action.

Thanks so much for your help! I wanted to apply early action, but the date to get all my school forms was Oct. 3, so I hadn’t visited or anything yet.

OK, well you can also explain that in your letter. (I suggest you consider sending a physical letter as well as an email. YOu want to make sure it ends up in your file when it comes time for your full application to be reviewed.)

Good luck!
