How do I look? UW Seattle

Hello!

I am a high school senior in Washington State. Basically, I’m a running start student, and my GPA is a cumulative of 3.2 by the end of the year, but I have had a 4.0 GPA since the second semester of sophomore year. The reason for my low GPA is because in freshman year, I didn’t care about school and got a 1.2 GPA. In sophomore year(first semester), I didn’t really take school seriously, so I got a 1.4 or 1.5 GPA. I realized that year, if I don’t straight up, I won’t be graduation, let alone going to college. In second semester of sophomore year, I got 4.0. Then junior year, I did running start, with these classes:
First Quarter:
Calc 1 - 4.0
English 101 - 4.0
History - 4.0

Second Quarter:
Calc 2 - 4.0
History - 4.0
English 102 - 4.0

…and so forth getting all A’s

Now, and since I completed requirements for my major, I take
Comp Science 238 - Currently have a 3.7 but it’ll raise to 4.0 by the end of the quarter.
Linear Algebra (not alg 1 LOL)

If I continue this until the end of the year, do you think I’ll have a average chance of getting into University of Washington Seattle? Even with a 3.2 GPA. (Note that I’ve had a 4.0 since Sophomore year, colleges like to see big up rises in GPA)

BTW, my major is Computer Science.

PS. My essay will hopefully be good, and I’ll have some reasoning on why my grades were so bad.

I think you’ll definitely be in good shape, but it hinges on you writing a good personal statement that simply explains why you have such a upward grade trend, and what you learned from your process. Because your grades speak for themselves (nice 4.0s!) I don’t think your personal statement needs to be amazing or anything, but definitely should be focused on your path through highschool and running start.

Sorry for typos, I typed on my phone
