How do I MEMORIZE all of this?! HELP!!

So, I’m starting to really stress out and freak because I simply cannot memorize everything I am reading. I know, I know…that’s not how to study. But when I try to do sample multiple choice questions after a chapter in my AMSCO book, I can’t remember any of the information. And I mean, I’m an active reader. I take notes and underline. So, I’m really freaking out because I read a page and completely forget everything I read under two minutes…HELP!!!

Sometimes the author’s choice of wording is nothing but fancy gibberish that I have to reread certain passages twice. Just reread somethings if you don’t understand it the first time. Also read at night when you do your homework (try not to read after 10pm) and then in the morning right before your history class starts, skim through your notes or highlights. That way when your teacher lectures about the next section/chapter, you can link more ideas and see the cause and effect which is very important in writing essays.
