How do I safeguard my meds on campus?

I've decided that I want to live on campus when going back to college.

I take prescription medications (by my psychiatrist) for mental illness.

What can I do to ensure that I can live on campus and have my medications safeguarded from other people that would be living with me on campus?

I hope what I wrote makes since and I thank you for your responses,

Lots of people take meds for stuff in college. Don’t advertise that you have them and just keep them in a drawer or anywhere else that’s out of plain sight. Are you even taking meds people would want to swipe? You could also keep them in a locked suitcase/trunk or go so far as to buy some sort of small safe.

Buy a small locking filebox to keep out of sight in a drawer or under your bed. Keep the daily dose in non-descript container covering the scrip bottle and don’t advertise to people you are on the meds. It shouldn’t be a problem if you are a bit careful.

Yeah, unless they’re meds that are commonly abused I don’t think you have to worry too much, and even then just don’t tell anyone you have them and keep them in a secure place.

This.

Lots of people take Rx meds. No need to advertise that you do, especially if you’re taking something that is easily abused (benzos, narcotics, etc.)

Put it out of sight, but don’t get a safe. That just attracts more attention, and college students are good at breaking away with safes.
