How do I send an update to Stanford?

Hello everyone! I just received one of the most prestigious awards in my country and I wanted to know how I could update Stanford about this. I’ve tried searching how to do so but all the posts I see are from ages ago and don’t know if they are still applicable. One thing I found was https://admission.stanford.edu/extras/decision/optional_update/index.html but it was listed on a thread that is years old, and thus I do not know if that is still the accepted way. Also, it was on a thread that was speaking about deferred applicants from REA sending RD updates, so I do not know if it is the route that RD applicants sending updates should use either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Also, in the optional updates section of that website, they have 3 sections. Would it be advisable to fill out all 3, or is just telling them about the award (first section) and leaving the rest blank fine/acceptable?

I left the other sections blank whenever I used the form…the form should work and you should get a confirmation email. At least that’s how I did it

Thanks @indianboy2400 . Do you think a fax or the form is preferable?

Okay, now I am a little concerned. I just saw this

“3. I would like to update my application and provide you with additional information. What should I do?
You may not make changes to your application once it is submitted. Your application will be evaluated on the details you included in your file. Additionally, please do not send materials such as resumes, research papers, newspaper articles and writing samples as they will not be considered.” on Stanford’s blog at http://engage.stanford.edu/regular-decision-update-2/

Yet at the same time they have an Optional Update Form.

What’s going on here?

Where did you find the form for sending updates? It didn’t see anything at the link above.

Literally google Stanford update form
