I just won 1st place in a regional DECA competition that qualifies me for state. Obviously, I would love if the colleges I was applying to knew about my 1st place win. Should I update them on this information and if so how do I go about doing that? Thanks!
When my kids had strong accomplishments like that after the apps went in, they sent an email to the admissions office. Something like, “I have applied for the fall term 2015 for , and my <ssn, application=”" id,="" whatever="" other="" identifying="" information="" it="" makes="" sense="" to="" provide="">.is . On I won 1st place in the Regional DECA competition and qualified for the state tournament. I would like to have this information included when considering my application. Thank you. intchild"</ssn,>
I concur with the advice above. If you can find your regional representative on the college website he or she would be the best person to submit the email to. You may want to include your High School under your name to help admissions match the email to your application. If you are emailing a college that is a top choice, you might briefly work that into the email as well.
