How do Rice admissions look at test scores? Superscoring?

Does anyone know if Rice superscores the ACT? Also, do they combine , say, your ACT, with say, your best math score on SAT? I know they probably dont, but wanted to check anyway.

No they dont. They pick your better of the two

antarius, i went to an info session both at Rice and at a hotel where i live and both times the rep. said that they would consider everything you send them and take the highest scores, and may even combine sections from the two different tests (SAT and ACT) so that you can be portrayed in the best light via test scores.

Even if they do superscore, would you guys recommend that I send in both my scores?
Oct Test
35 Eng, 34 Math, 27 Science, 26 Reading comp: 30.5 Eng/Writing: 31 (7essay)
Dec Test
33 Eng, 31 Math, 34 Science, 33 Reading comp: 32.75 Eng/writing: 30 (8 essay)
Im hesitant about sending in my Oct scores cause they would see the horrible Science and Reading and the 7 essay, but at the same time, if they do superscore, then my combined would be much better than my Dec alone:
35 Eng, 34 Math, 34 Science, 33 Reading, comp:34.0, 8 essay
So should I just send in both and let them see my bad Oct scores so that I can have a higher combined score, or should I just send in Dec scores?

mantiz... they combine your best SAT or ACT sections

SAT and ACT arent exactly equitable to pik sections for each
