Well I was kind of bored today so I thought I would plan out my schedule for the rest of High School (its less nerdy then it sounds). Well im class of 2015

Sophomore Year
1. Chemistry
2. Honors Geometry
3. AP World History (Only AP offered to Sophomore besides Art History)
4. Banking Services/ Investment Securities
5. JV Football
6. Honors Spanish III
7. Honors English II

Junior
1. Algebra II
2. AP English III
3. Honors Physics
4. AP Spanish IV
5. AP European History
6. AP US History
7. Varsity Football

Senior
1. AP English IV
2. AP Statistics
3. AP Physics B or Forensic Science
4. AP Micro/AP Macro
5. Varsity Football/ Economics
6. AP U.S Government and Politics/Business Law
7. AP Phycology/American Government Research Methods

Would it be even worth it to take that many AP Classes senior year? I am highly interested in all of them except Physics B and Stats.

Yeah this is a fine schedule, and yeah you might as well get them out of the way, right? And is economics not AP? At my school they only offer AP

For senior I probably wont do AP Physics and AP Stats but the rest I actually have a genuine interest in. So I think it would be better to take a lot of hard classes I enjoy than a ton of easy classes that I have no interest in what so ever.

^exactly what I thought but senioritis is very real man…you have no idea how hard it is to do work after you’ve already chosen your college man. Haha I made my decision like in november and then the entire rest of the year it was so hard for me to do anything cuz I was like “ehhhh well high school doesn’t matter anymore, whatever I’ll just bs it. Seniorz 2k12 no regrets” Most people don’t have nearly the same drive they did the first 3 years of high school in senior year. But def go for it if you think you’ll be able to manage, but colleges can take your acceptance away if you slack off too much senior year so beware of that broski

Wait, you’re taking AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and regular Economics another period?

I also agree with everyone else, take it a little easier senior year. Do Forensic Science instead of AP Physics and take Pre Calculus instead of AP Stats. I doubt any decent college is going to accept you without taking Pre Calc in high school…

Thanks for the tips FollowTheReaper and I did not know that about Pre-Calc(Im a rising sophomore so still kind of clueless on some stuff) and I probably replace Econ with something else.

Now I don’t no if I’d say that - I’m sure plenty of great colleges have accepted kids without Pre Calc, but that being said, I would still highly recommend taking the class if you don’t want me to stuck in a remedial math course your freshman year of college.

I just want to say that just taking a look at your schedule we can’t say “wow, colleges will be impressed with this” or “Meh. This is average” because we don’t know what courses are even offered at your school. This has been repeated here around 10,000 times, but just to make sure you’re aware, colleges like to see you taking the hardest courses available to you at your school. So if you’re doing that and challenging yourself, then awesome. That being said, the only thing is I don’t see biology on your schedule, which I don’t know if it’s because your school has bad biology teachers or if you don’t want to take it, but I would recommend taking biology. If this is an option, maybe you could take honors bio instead of the banking class in sophomore year, then take AP Bio or AP Chem instead of Ap European history junior year. Just throwing around thoughts, if you think you’d kill yourself taking 5 AP classes on top of doing football in junior year then don’t. Oh yeah, and precalc, do that man, do that. Maybe talk to your dean or guidance counselor about what would be the best track for you, we don’t know what you want to major in or what career you want so we can’t best say what’ll prepare you best for college.
