How do u guys freshen up for school!?

I usually shower in the morning, brush my teeth, thrown on some deodorant, and that’s basically it, freshening up wise.

I shower in the morning, followed by brushing my teeth, flossing, washing my face, deodorant, dress.

sirensong; Does that really work? I mean chewing gum instead of brushing your teeth? My father does it all the time and he has great teeth, so I’ve always wondered, haha. I always thought he had super teeth.

I feel like a lone-survivor, cuz I dont shower every morning, but every night, Im probably going to start doing that now though

^ haha this reminded me of that episode in fairly oddparents where timmy interrogated the tooth fairy (or am i alone in the world of fairly oddparents nerdiness?)

summers = shower in the morning is a must
anything besides summers = showering at night is a lot better

honestly, my hair looks a looot better after it’s hit the pillow for a while. my hair is really soft and if I don’t spend a few hours exposing it to the air or something then in the first 6 hours or so (basically most of the time I have school) my hair looks too black and too dry at the tips. if I sleep instead of showering in the morning, my hair looks like this dark/light brown color and is straight, etc etc. And I don’t sweat a lot at night (except for summers :P) so yeahhhh.

showering in the morning during winters = epic fail.

^^ Love the Fairly Oddparents.
Or on Spongebob when he couldn’t get Gary to take a bath.
(…how does bathing work underwater?)

I shower every morning, during vacation I can take up to 10 minutes, but since I’m used to showering fast, during schooldays I take five minutes maximum.

School starts 7:50, I wake up usually around 7:30ish. Needless to say, I used to be late daily with multiple detentions and almost 3 suspensions/record discipline stuff. Going for 7:20 this year.

I love it! I may start doing some of these. I actually know some people who wash like this. My uncle does.

Uh, hell yes it does. My teeth are very rugged, meaning it is hard for my brush to reach in some places. I had like six or seven cavities between fith and sixth grade. That’s when I started chewing sugar free gum. I have had no cavities since.

However, I no have braces and gum is “prohibited,” though I have chewed some since I’ve had they on. Does anyone know how exactly they can brake braces? Anyway, I have to scrub and use fluoride for longer now since I don’t chew gum all the time.

Anyway, here was my schedule last year…
Mother tries to wake me up at 6:00am, I actually get up at 6:30-35, I eat, I change, brush teeth, and then go to school at 6:45 am. L0L. I got ready in 15 minutes. I took showers at night, and I do that now, during the summer.

However, during the up and coming school year I may change it up a bit, if I can stick to this schedule and actually wake up early, haha. I would like to wake up at ~5:30. Since I think I am unhealthy (I have a good metabolism, so I am definitely not fat, but I don’t exercise much and I eat manufactured foods all the time) I would like to do a run from 5:30 to 6:00. Then I can get home and shower. I am like a girl and I take showers that last around 15 minutes, ha. Then I can eat until 6:25ish, brush my teeth and get ready, and I should actually have some extra time left.

You can chew sugar free gum with braces. At least that’s what my orthodontist said when I had them.

=O!
That would be so nice.

I chewed orbit mostly, or trident. But honestly, I never had a problem with shewing sugar gum either.

I thought all gum was sugar free these days? I chew gum all the time with braces and except for the occasional “■■■■-its-stuck” moments, chewing gum’s never a problem with me =/

i think gum is absolutely disgusting.

Zapz, you must chew a pack of gum a day in order for it to be a proper substitute. I’m not a dentist but I can’t see how gum replaces a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and water.

Same. I can’t stand the smell of it, looking at it, seeing a wrapper near me. I hate gum. It’s gross.

And why on Earth would anyone substitute gum for brushing their teeth? I’ve heard gum is supposed to be good for oral hygiene, but it’s no substitute brushing and flossing.

Exactly. On the package of Trident gum, it says it helps keep your teeth healthy ALONG WITH brushing your teeth.

I never said it was a substitute, but It definitely helps.

“Zapz, you must chew a pack of gum a day in order for it to be a proper substitute. I’m not a dentist but I can’t see how gum replaces a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and water.”

Anyway, I chew two pieces of gum a day. And that’s from the morning to lunch and lunch to dinner. I don’t care if the taste goes away. =D So I do chew it most of the day, ha. ^.^

“I never said it was a substitute.”

Actually you did. LOL

Whenever I buy gum, I chew two pieces of gum while hiding the rest from my greedy classmates who try to harass me for gum.

1.) Get up at 5:30 AM
2.) Mouthwash, Floss, Brush, Tongue Cleaner, Mouthwash
3.) Shave
4.) Shower for 15 minutes (Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Face Wash)
5.) Put on contacts, lotion body, deodorant
6.) Get dressed, comb hair, use special facial lotion
7.) Eat cereal
8.) Mouthwash
9.) Gum

That’s basically a daily routine whether I’m going to school or not (obviously, if I don’t have school, I’m going to wake up much later but I still go through the same stuff as soon as I get up). I don’t care about impressing others, I just feel like crap if I don’t do that.

Helljumper, you should shave AFTER the shower. ;)

I personally don’t see the reason of showering in the morning, especially if you shower at night. Unless you have a decent amount of hair, it’s not unforgivable. Obviously it makes you feel better though, so that’s why I do it!
