How do you answer ppl when they ask: "so where are you applying?"

I tell my friends the truth, but it's like walking on eggshells to answer the questions of some of the adults around here. You can basically assume that everyone who lives in my town went to/had kids that went to the local state U. I don't want to come off as though I think I'm above local state U, or come off like I'm just trying to get out of Ohio (both of which may be true, but no need to offend others, right?). I usually just say, "I haven't really thought about it yet, but I think I'd like to live on the east coast" or something like that.

I usually just say, "Oh, I'm looking at schools mainly on the east coast..."

If you think that's awkward, just wait until you get into a top school and people ask you where you go to college.

Parent: "Where do you go to college?"
You: "H/Y/P/S/M/C/C..."
Parent: "Wait, where?!"
You: "Yeah, _____"
Parent: "Wow, that's a good school!"
You: ".......... yeah I guess so?"

awkward silence as the parent realizes you are better than him at life

You: "well I'll be seeing you!"

dude, your a dick

^ Agreed. 10char
