She just thinks that she's like a college professor and treats us worse than even the rudest college professor would! So, guys, if you are stuck with someone like that for more than half a year....how exactly do you get through that class? (to be more specific: she gives you too much unnecessary works, and u just can't get over it in a shortcut way! She wouldn't give you an extended if you need one! I'm going to a really accelerated school and at times such conditions are very possible) If you ask her a question, she'd try to remind you why you should concentrate on class and blah blah! In one word: she's just NOT approachable! She makes you copy each and every word of the Lab! Can u believe it!? Anyway, I don't want to continue the long list anymore. Do you suggest me to suck it in and just persist for half the year?
PS: I LOVE most of my other teachers, just to clarify if someone thinks that I just have the attitude to feel that she's rude!

^ i wish i had her for a teacher. You would appreciate her if you'd ever have some of my teachers.

Hmm....I would like to see some more inputs abt this concern too! I don't have A LOT but I am quite confused abt a few of my teachers too!
I'll rather say that the best thing you can do is stick thru it or can u just drop it?

As a slight twist & continuation of this question:

How do you handle a teacher who has you play board games and watch sitcoms multiple times a week, and then gives you sporadic pop quizzes on material never covered in class?

To the OP: if it's too late to drop, I would just stick it through and maybe suck up to her to get on her good side.
Or you could be passive aggressive and put lizards in her desk.

Cinnamon, looks like you're going to have to learn the material on your own. That's what I had to do in classes where the teachers didn't really go over the subject matter.

well if she gives you a lot of busy work you could always just write her a kind letter adressing your, urm, feelings (not such a good idea, tried it).

but basically you're just going to have to suck it up and deal. unfortunately, encountering rude and impossible people is just part of life, and atleast you only have her for an hour/day.

i had a science teacher like that (9th grade bio). He was an absolute JERK. I pretty much gritted my teeth and fantasized pushing him off the 4 story building at our school. Anyhow, there's nothing much you can do just try to ask a friend or another teacher of the same subject if you need any help...sometimes available at after school tutoring (to avoid the teacher of course!).

Then next year you can laugh at all your underclassman friends who have this same annoying teacher :p

and it's only half the year? that's nothing. semester break will be here faster than you think.

Get on the teacher's good side:

Bring her coffee and snacks.
Compliment her new haircut or her purse or something.
Answer questions when everyone else has a blank stare on their face.
Raise your hand to pass out papers if she asks.
When she asks if someone can deliver a paper to another teacher or the office, volunteer for that.
Bring in interesting articles that you found about the subject to show that you have interest in the topic.

That's what all the teacher's favorite students here do.

I'll tell u just to deal w/ it...after all, when u r done, no body, even u, don't care. ;)

What should you do if you don't want to suck up?

Study in the meantime, plus carefully write down what you did in one class. Then tell a counselor or something.

an eye for an eye would make the whole world go blind...

try being nice to them
