I'm a senior in high school and am having some trouble with one of my teachers.

I am a very hardworking student and have never gotten a B. I am polite, do my homework, etc. I am not at all difficult to work with.

This year one of my teachers is targeting me without reason. When I ask legitimate, higher-level questions, I get sarcastic answers. When I'm a little out of it (blood sugar issues - his class is right after lunch) he takes it upon himself to call me out and embarrass me in front of the class.

Because of this rude treatment, I have stopped asking questions and resorted to just doing the requirements of the class and focusing my efforts where they will be recognized.

But now he's causing problems. He "tattles" on me to my guidance counselor for the most trivial issues while being lenient with his other students. He's damaging my reputation as a student, which up until this point, has been excellent. Despite my efforts, my grade in the class is mediocre.

I haven't committed any offense against him, but for whatever reason he has an issue with me.

I have some options.

Move to the non-"advanced" equivalent of the class and finish the semester. It would hurt my GPA but would get me into a different teacher's class.

Drop the class entirely and take it next semester. He may dislike me for it, but at least the class will be less of a threat to my college applications.

Stick it out in his class. I'd have to deal for the rest of the semester, and I would likely get a B.

I have never been in a situation like this. What should I do?
