<p>EXERCISE. Eating better is great and all, but to me the big key is EXERCISE. I gained over 30 pounds my first two years of college! Didn’t change my eating habits, but I quit working out like I was used to. Now, I’ve gotten back into a routine of working out and I lost 10 pounds this summer. Again, my eating habits haven’t changed much though I’m trying!</p>
<p>Help… Soda is free here >_<. Food is too good… =(</p>
<p>lots of popcorn</p>
<p>Eat small meals throughout the day instead of a few big ones.
Walk or bike or something to class that doesn’t involve a motor.
When you want a snack, eat something like cheese that fills you up but won’t put on weight.
Don’t drink or smoke pot. Drinking = lots of calories. Pot = munchies.
If you’re gonna have pop, have diet.
Try to make it a habit to go to the gym once a week or every other week. Perhaps find a friend and you can motivate each other?
If you have pizza (which should be somewhat scarce) soak up the oil on top with a napkin to get rid of excess grease.
Avoid fast food.
Try to get fresh fruits and veggies whenever possible instead of fried.
Avoid fried food as much as possible.
Don’t drink energy drinks.
Get lots of sleep. </p>
<p>Um… I think that’s all I can think of for now.</p>
<p>it’s a campus…walk around it…
also, if you’re like me, as long as u work on decreasing the sweet-tooth cravings u don’t need to do that much exercise. i dropped 20 pounds a few years back in just a few months by slightly adjusting my diet, alone :)</p>
<p>Exercise, and eat balanced.</p>
<p>Cook at home. Use the free gym.
Eat veggies.</p>
<p>I personally avoid meat often and eat alot more veggies. I’m like 105-110 lbs? I do snack out every day with snack of my choice… around 300-600 calories of it?</p>
<p>
Then I suggest you eat, eat and then eat some more, lol.</p>
<p>uyu, most of us are not living at home, nor are we allowed to cook our dorm rooms (I am speaking of freshmen obviously).</p>
<p>This is something that I’m super scared of, so I’ve dome the following:
- Become Vegeterian
- Limit my eating out, and make most of my food
- Limit my drinking (I don’t do this too much to begin with, and if I do, it’s hard alcohol)
I recently had to buy 6 bags of chips for a fashion project though >.<
and for the not being able to cook in res for freshmen, try keeping things like veggies in the fridge, and eat salad a lot.
Any other suggestions? I can’t get myself a membership at the gym (if it wasn’t so damn expensive >.>) and I’m in a program designed to get maybe 4 hours of sleep (fashion Design)</p>
