as an incoming freshman, not knowing anyone at college is scaring the crap out of me. so how'd you guys meet new people and make friends? advices needed! thanks!

You make friends by carrying a conversation as follows:

You: Hi.
Potential Friend (PF): Hi…freak.
You: I have weed.
PF: Fo 'rizzle?
You: Sho’nuff.
PF: You’re my new BFF.
You: Yay!

^^^^^Id agree, thats pretty much how it goes…

Hahaha nice Plattsburgh.

Alcohol works in a similar way-lots of froshies are sniffing for it when they first move in, and if you are the first to offer them a few shots then you are well on your way.

In all seriousness (not that the method above isn’t effective), you can make new friends without minimal effort at all. I met TONS of people just by living in the dorms, and by talking to people in class. Lots of first-year students don’t know anybody either, so they’ll be eager to talk to and meet new people. You don’t really have to put too much effort into it if you don’t want, but I would recommend trying to seek people out, but things will just happen naturally.

Well I heard you sorta have to put yourself out there. Like talk to people, don’t wait all the time for students to talk to you. In dorm halls, going to events, school clubs, even student parties etc… though just waking up to attend class and walking back to your room I’m sure you will still meet a lot of students that way also, though more you interact… likely you’ll meet more people.
