One of my main anxieties about attending college in the fall is how I will make friends. I’m not an outgoing person, but I fell that once people get to know me, they like hanging out with me. Does anyone have tips on how to make friends in college? I don’t want to be a social outcast…
I found making friends in college to be pretty easy since all freshman had the same concerns. Living in the dorms and eating in the dining hall made it easy to meet people. Once classes started I made more friends. No need to worry because you will be just fine.

Most colleges have some kind of freshman orientation. Go to as many activities as you can to meet people.
Do any kind of dorm activities there are at first. When it is dinner time, ask people on your hall if they are going to dinner now. Ask people if they want to do homework together. Join clubs.
Basically everyone else Freshman year is looking to make friends…so try to take some action and reach out to people.
I agree with the people above…there’s Freshmen orientation and those friends you make there will be the ones that will continue to be your friends throughout college…at least that’s how what happened to me
