are there fruits and veggies readily avl? and for not too expensive. sorry i'm from west coast and i visited DC one time and was shocked at the puny peach and exorbitant price that went with it.

I finished graduate school at Penn this past year - and I figured I would share some pictures from campus since people want to know what it looks like etc. I've been to all the top schools and toured their schools and I personally think that Penn has one of the best campuses - especially for an urban campus. Everything is close which is nice - anyway, here are some pictures.

Enjoy

wow. thanks for your awesome pictures. what did u study at grad school and did you live on campus? is that normal for grad students? I want the whole penn experience- even if i cant go undergrad but wonder if thats possible for grad school?

I lived in the Quad as a GA in Spruce (Riepe)- it's very common at Penn that undergrads, grad students, faculty, deans, visiting professors all live together.

Your pics are much better than the ones on Penn's admissions website--which are really just shamefully bad.

Well thanks! I just wanted to take a lot of pictures - because I think the campus has a lot of character - not to mention it has some stunning architecture.

I figure, why not share, right? :o)

still bitter about Hill I just feel like the Quad is so much better... so what if I have a dining hall?

legendofmax- ask that again on a Sunday morning in January.

Did you live in Birthday?? Second floor near the tower...overlooking the guards?? Were you there for multiple years in that room perhaps? I tried to PM you but you don't accept.

muppetcoat: A few winter months of having a dining hall nearby doesn't outweigh the advantages of a pretty, large dorm room...

Have you looked into trading a room? This is possible and there is a swap thing.

I doubt anyone from the Quad would wanna trade for a Hill room. How would I trade this early into the game?

Go to Room Assignment....drop down undergraduate.....forum and register for swap. Have you gone there???

I haven't seen this. It won't let me access the forum. Bahh.

It won't let you register? I'd call the housing office then and iquire why....when I go to it I can register but since I don't need to......

It wants to open up Outlook Express and then it can't connect to the server.

Do Hill rooms have two beds on the floor or one set of bunk beds in general?

two beds on the floor, you can bunk them if you want though

Don't some have drawers underneath??? How do those get bunked?

i'd agree that not much outweighs a nice room, even easy access to the dining hall, but I've only lived in Hill thus far, so i'm a bit biased.
