I am tired of getting my laundry done week and ironing them is the biggest problem. I am wondering if I am the only knucklehead here or people have better smart options. (Remember I am asking what people PREFER, not what they actually do)

Haha…had to respond as I’m in the midsts of my “washing Wednesday.” I do all laundry & ironing once a week. Only DH’s work shirts are professionally done. I’m a DIY’er. Never feel house or clothes are as clean as when I do it myself. Also doing it for my kids and like to know what’s worn, wearing out, etc.
I prefer DIY because it is not that much and I don’t iron it. Each family member does their own laundry. I used a wash and fold service once and have recommended it many times to people who have let things go too long or just have too much to get done in a reasonable time.
PS. I limit ironing as much as possible. Must stay on top of folding, hang or lie flat to dry and buy some Downy wrinkle release.
Yea, but paid services are expensive. I wish there was something cheaper outside then life will be much simpler than now.
Do it myself. Don’t overload a single load and remove it from the dryer right away for little-to-no ironing.
I do my own laundry but detest ironing. H sends his dress shirts to the cleaner. I’m also in the take it out of the dryer, fold, and hang immediately camp.
Years ago, I ironed my dress/work shirts; when the little one [now 28] came along, I started taking them to the cleaners; my favorite cleaner closed two years ago, and I’ve gone back to ironing them myself during spare weekend time while there’s some good sports thing on TV. Note: darling wife includes them with other wash; I do my own ironing.
Our laundry seems to be constant. We just throw it in when the pile gets big enough. I don’t think we’ve used an iron in years.
When I was working, dress shirts and pants would go to the cleaners - dry clean only on the pants and $2/shirt, or whatever it was, was well worth not ironing.
I do it myself once a week. If I start running out of clothes, then I wash it earlier in the week.
