If a student wants to provide a detailed resume of jobs or extracurricular activities, does the online form provide a place for an attachment?

Or is it better to mail a hard copy to each school?

You can include a resume in the Additional Information section of the Common App.

Can you cut and paste whatever you want into that section?

Or is there a required format or a specific number of lines available?

^ I put in a word document, then uploaded it.
I only had one page; I am pretty sure there is no page requirement tho

Last year D pasted it in the additional info section. There should be a preview function so you can check how it looks. The supplements specifically stated to include a paper copy of the resume with the portfolio/CD.

^^^^ Ds did what BunsenBurner suggests. Look at the preview, or print it out to see how it looks - for some reason formatting seems to get messed up between Word and the Common App.

D's counselor included it in her package with the letter of recommendations and official high school transcript.
