<li><p>I've used this one a few times. Say "I'll be going off to school over in Ithaca". Which technically is true. And if they ask which school, or if it's Ithaca College, that's when you specify Cornell.</p></li>
<li><p>Or another you can do is give the college name along with the university name, which can downplay the Cornell aspect of it. So you'd say "Cornell Hotel Management" or "Cornell Industrial Labor Relations" or whatever. Makes it seem more specialized and less intimidating.</p></li>
