Sorry if this is the wrong section.
Upon checking my email, I noticed that Rice University sent me a application fee waiver due to my "hard work and success on your Subject Tests." They told me that they got the information from college board, but I have never sent my scores to them. When filling in my information before taking tests, collegeboard has never asked me if they could send my scores to colleges, so I am wondering if collegeboard just sends scores to colleges without consent.
I do remember putting my email so that colleges would send me information, but it said that they would send only my contact information.

Someone else will be able to provide a more accurate response, but my general knowledge is that CB sells students’ contact info to colleges. I do not know how finely they dice it, as in, do they sell contact info for all students who scored above 2100? Is info divided into targeted zip code or income levels? But, the info is sold. I believe there was a way to opt out when you registered with CB.

One possibility is that you high school counselor sent out your scores. Go visit your counselor to see if that’s the case.
