<p>Can aid packages change based on a remarriage throughout your years in school? For example, I’m about to go into my senior year of high school and my mom just got engaged last week. I don’t expect my future stepfather to contribute to my education at all, and they don’t plan on getting married within the next year or so because of his son’s wedding, my college applications, and all that other good stuff. Will my aid package for my sophomore year be different than my freshman year based on the remarriage? :/</p>

<p>Yes! Mazel tov to your mom, but hopefully she believes in long engagements. If she marries during your freshman year, it will affect your soph aid package.</p>
