Hello! So here's my story...

I go to a large public high school (approx. 700 students/grade) and I'm in the top 1% of my class. My SAT scores are good (approx. 2200), my GPA is nearly perfect, my essays are very good, I have solid relationships with the teachers/counselors who wrote my recommendations. My courses are demanding.

But because I go to a very large school (a good one, but still a big one), will that somewhat diminish my accomplishments?

I'm aspiring to attend very competitive colleges here, if i can--I've applied to Brown, Columbia, Wellesley, Georgetown, and schools of that caliber. Will my coming from a large public school hurt me because the majority of the students aren't as academically focused, or will it help me because I've managed to rise to the top of such a diverse group of students?

Thank you, I know we'll all find out the answer to these come late March, but I can't help but wondering.
