<p>Lots of students are doing lots of challenging things during the summer. There is no indication, from the Harvard admission office or from anyone else, that the Harvard Summer School program is more favored when evaluating applications than many other worthwhile things to do during the summer. If it fits your plans, and you like it, go for it. If you'd like to do something else, don't worry that the something else isn't based at Harvard.</p>
