How does internation transcript affect transferring?

Hello everyone,

I'm waiting for the decisions for some of the UCs at the moment, and my question is that how does the international transcript affect the decision? I'm actually a resident in California, but I spent a year in a different university in another country. I was required to submit the transcript to the UC system, and I did. What's odd is most of my friends have got the decision for UCR, and I didn't. We have around the same GPAs in CC. I was required to submit my transcript to UCR, so I wondered that if the transcript really affects the decision. Furthermore, I'm also worried about the decisions from other UCs. Is there anything I should do?

Thanks

exactly same situation as yours. Yes, my counselor said the foreign grades will affect your transferable GPA. Each UC has its own way of calculating the GPA on the foreign transcript. So no one knows what our GPA finally is. Good luck~
